Wedding flowers that feel like you.

Your wedding flowers shouldn't feel like somebody elses Pinterest board or Instagram post, they should feel unique to you.

A little wild perhaps. A little romantic. Full of vibrant colour, texture and personality.

Flowers that make you stop for a second as you walk into the room because somehow they've made everything feel like you belong.

That's where I come in.

I'm Bev, the flower grower and florist behind Sown on the North Coast, I grow and create vibrant flowers for eco-conscious couples marrying across the north east of England.

I grow flowers in my own cutting garden, source from other brilliant local growers wherever I can, and use what's naturally at its best the week of your wedding, all to create wedding flowers with abundance, character and personality.

You don't need to know the names of flowers. You don't need to know exactly what you want. And you definitely don't need to become a part time florist just because you're getting married.

You tell me how you want to feel and I'll turn those feelings into flowers.

We'll talk about your venue, your colours, the season, the things you love, the things you definitely don't, and all those little details will make your wedding yours.

I'll take all the details and turn it into a floral design that makes sense for your day.

Your wedding flowers don't need to be flown around the world to be beautful. Quite the opposite. The most beautiful flowers are doing exactly what they should be right now.

The dahlias bursting into flower at the end of summer. The delicate spring flowers that only get a few precious weeks. The foliage grasses and seadheads that bring movement and texture to an autumn or winter wedding. And all of the slightly odd, wonderful flowers grown right here that you'll never find in a florist shop.

My cutting garden is at the heart of Sown on the North Coast. I grow as much as I can myself. This means your flowers will never be identical to someone else's, and thats the point!

Seasonal never means limited, it means interesting and unique to you and your day. Anniversaries for years to come will be highlighted by the season all around you.

Sustainability isn't a bolt on here. It's built into the way I work. We never use floral foam. We choose peat-free growing methods. We reuse, recycle and compost. It's our passion and it's built into our everyday working.

Choosing sustainable wedding flowers does not mean compromising on how your wedding looks. You get the beautiful flowers you've been dreaming of and the planet gets a little more consideration. It's a win win.

You don't have to have it all figured out.

One of the things my couples tell me again and again is how easy the process feels.

My couples often say that I've thought about their questions before they've even thought of them.

They come to me with an idea, sometimes not even that. They give me creative freedom and they're surprised on their day with flowers that truely feel like a dream.

"from the start I put 100% trust in Bev to take the lead and I'm so glad I did!"

Kate & Scott

"Your attention to detail was amazing and you delivered everything we wanted and more, thank you so so much."

Sophie & Harpreet

"It was such a special experience leaving the decision making to an expert rather than us trying to work out what flowers might work. It was also a really nice surprise on the day to see what they looked like. The communication and design chats were amazing, we knew we could trust you"

Isobel & Jack

There are 3 simple steps to book

Design chat

This is where it all starts.

A relaxed 15 minute Zoom chat where we talk about your wedding, your ideas, your venue, what you're looking for and how you want to feel.

We can share images and dream up the vision. It's also your chance to ask me anything.

Most impostantly, it's a chance for us both to work out whether we are the right fit.

Your bespoke proposal

After our chat, I'll turn all those converations into a flower proposal. It'll bring together the flowers that we've discussed, the overall feeling of your day and the investment.

You can be involved as much as you like, want to change things? We'll make it perfect.

Want to trust me and let me get on with it? I'm very happy to do that too.

Your date is booked

Once you're happy with everything, pay your 25% deposit and your date is offically booked.

You can breate and celebrate, and you can tick "wedding flowers" off your list!

Once booked

We run on the following timescales, all whilst growing and sourcing your wedding flowers in the background.

eight weeks prior to the wedding date ~ we discuss your day in detail on a zoom call.

Six weeks prior to the wedding date ~ you receive the final balance and final run through.

One month prior to the wedding date ~ your final balance is due.

Then on your day itself, I see you as I deliver your personal Flowers and everything else happens as if by magic.

But Bev, what about pricing?
